What makes a good Architectural Design?

I have a restaurant in mind pertaining to architectural design.

Examples of good architectural designs are:

Macdonalds, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Burger King

The criteria for a good design:
- Spacious
- Attractive

Comparison:
- The Macdonald and KFC fulfills the criteria as it is spacious, clean and pleasing to the eye.
- Burger King and Pizza Hut is not pleasing to the eye, and but spacious
