Texture forms the first impression when a person sees the object, in this case, a building. The texture naturally provides the feel of the building.
For example, when a person receives a letter, the quality of the paper will help tell what kind of message is likely to be in it. Similarly when we buy a book, we will most likely treat it with respect if it has a hard back with good quality paper, rather than a cheaper paperback with thin low-quality that will soon yellow and fall apart.
